Environmental Consulting - Regulatory Compliance Assessments
MSES personnel have experience assisting facility operators with Environmental Compliance Audits. These audits are systematic reviews of the management and operations of a facility to evaluate if applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations such as permit requirements are being met. Regulations and programs including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) are reviewed with facility managers to provide information and recommendations for areas where further work may be needed to bring the facility into compliance. This proactive review benefits the facility by allowing any necessary compliance work to be accomplished prior to inspection by regulatory agencies.
MSES assists both small and large organizations in understanding and complying with OSHA’s Hazard Communication or “Right-To-Know” program under 29 CFR 1910.1200. Our services range from teaching companies the proper state and local reporting procedures to prepare and present employee training programs on the use and storage of workplace chemicals used daily at their facilities. Our areas of expertise include the Clean Water Act (CWA), solid and hazardous waste (RCRA), Community Right-to-Know under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), storage tanks and environmental safety management (OSHA). MSES also performs compliance and management system audits to identify program gaps, plan and implement corrective action programs, and strengthen a facility’s environmental position.
