| MSES Project Managers are assisted by Industrial Hygienists, Environmental Field Chemists and Environmental Specialists who are trained on the Science Safety Handbook for California Public Schools, 1999 Edition, regulatory compliance requirements, such as chemical shelf life and retrograde condition. Furthermore, MSES field personnel meet and exceed OSHA regulatory training requirements in chemical hygiene practices, procedures, and techniques as well as chemical identification and hazard awareness. In addition, the Project Managers are responsible for the quality assurance and quality control of the on-site activities at the science laboratories. |

| detailed safety and health inspection report is provided for each science laboratory inspected, providing recommendations for any areas found to be out of compliance. In addition, the report summarizes the steps that the District's Risk Management office should follow in order to minimize long-term financial liability. The report is approved by MSES' Master Level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and Registered Environmental Manager (REM). |
